MV Khalijia 3 ran aground at the anchorage of Mumbai Port and sustained bottom damage resulting in flooding of holds. SMIT provided a full salvage team to patch and pump the vessel dry.

Subsequently, the vessel was delivered to owners alongside Mumbai Port. The operation was successfully completed on 20 August 2010.
